ECOcard Payments
ECOcard is a network of European banks offering a credit
card alternative primarily targeted at online gamers. They use
an SSL banking interface server to make real time financial transactions.
An ECO account comes to you with account history tracking and
real-time balance information. As an alternative to credit cards,
the ECO card does not take a credit card for deposits but uses
Western Union Wire Transfer, MoneyGram Transfer, Private Money
Transfers & Bank Account Wire Transfers that you can use to fund
it.
Since many credit card companies are not letting you use your
card for gambling online, this may be a superior alternative.
The card is convenient for most international users, in that it
allows multiple currencies, such as Pounds Sterling, Euros and
Dollars.
The account also includes a currency conversion component that
will let account holders make payments at merchants who deal in
different currencies than the currency of their ECO account, which
in tern offers flexibility for the player. A fee is not charged
for depositing but there is a fee for withdrawing from your account
once a casino puts your winnings back onto your ECOcard.
ECO caters to online gamblers and therefore allows withdrawals
from online casino accounts into the ECO account. Only winnings
are permitted to be transferred however, and come with a $10 fee
for bank wire transfers or a $25 fee for checks, which are only
available to U.K. and Italy residents. Make sure you read before
signing up for this service and make sure that they cater to your
country, otherwise you’ll be signing up for nothing.
Examples of casinos that take the ECO card are:
Blackjack Ballroom , Casino Share, Grand Mondial Casino RTG and Playtech casinos. This method is widely
accepted and used in many brands.
